The greatest hero in my heart

The greatest hero in my heart, was one of the most famous women in the world——Florence Nightingale.

She was a nurse and she helped lots of sick people in the war. When she was young, she saw many sick people and they didn’t have enough money to go to the hospital. She wanted to help them so she decided to be a nurse. But her parents wanted her to get married and be a housewife. At the age of 20, she left her home and went to England. She trained for two years and then started helping the sick in the war. Lots of people got worse in the war but she didn’t give up, she often walked around the sick people’s home with a lap in her hand. Finally she returned to her hometown and opened a school to train the nurses.

She was really a great woman. She gave her life to helping the sick people and she’s still remembered by people all around the world. I’d like to be a helpful person like her in the future.

The Greatest Hero in My Heart

Everyone has the greatest hero in his or her heart that also can learn more from the hero. In my heart, the greatest hero is Zhan Tianyou.

Zhan Tianyou was the engineer of a famous railroad called Jingzhang Railroad. It was a surprise. At that time, the Chinese government wanted a Chinese engineer to build it, so they refused lots of foreign engineers. The railroad started in Beijing and it finished in Zhangjiakou. It was very difficult to build because it was in the mountains and there were lots of bridges and tunnels through the mountains. But finally he was successful and famous. All the Chinese are proud of him up to now.

I think it is a very patriotic story and we can learn from Zhan Tianyou a lot. So as a student, we need to work hard for the future of our motherland.
